The Azienda Agricola Salvadori Furio s.s.a. (FS) is an agricultural holding born in 1931. It is located near the Migliarino, San Rossore, Massaciuccoli Natural Park (Pisa, Italy) and it has an extension of 300 ha. In 1976 it started to rear semi-wild beef cattle, cow-calf line of the Limousine breed, a hundred of suckler cows and 4 bulls. In 1985 it started to rear a group of “Mucca Pisana”, a native threatened breed for which a regional safeguard program is in progress. From 2001, a farm store for the sale of the meat with the brand “Carne Bovina di Pisa” has been opened. The farm cultivation system consists of 2/3 of pastures and fodder meadows and 1/3 of cereals and legumes for feeding the livestock. The cattle is fed with organic products and is bred outdoors.
